steel box

Unapologetically modern, this sleek mix of rusted steel, concrete and glass is mirrored by a disciplined landscape composed of crisp lines, vibrant gold daylilies and shades of deep green.  Elements re-designed the back yard and replaced the existing failing timber walls with architectural concrete and re-worked the existing circulation.  The height of the new walls were raised to provide screening from the highway below and a sense of enclosure, the walls step down to create an intermediate terrace with large, newly planted aspens.  Custom lighting and a simple stainless steel water feature were integrated.  The minimalist landscape floats within a native wildflower and grass surround.
